Despite the result looking convincing this was far from the full story as the home side, severely depleted from recent weeks put on the performance of their lives going into the break one goal apiece.

Focus Switches to League Campaign as Rovers’ Preseason Ends
Kimpton’s pre-season campaign came to a disappointing end at home to former Division One side Hitchin Rovers on Sunday. Once again team manager Darren Riseley was unable to field his strongest side with several players missing which was far from ideal with the 25/26 season starting in a just weeks’ time.
