Kimpton Rovers Joins Hertfordshire 1961 Sunday Football League

Kimpton Rovers CFC are pleased to confirm that the club will be joining the Hertfordshire 1961 Sunday Football League from the 2026/27 season.

The league has a strong history in Hertfordshire football and remains one of the county’s established Sunday competitions, with a large network of clubs, players and volunteers across the region. Joining the league gives the club the right environment to compete and grow across the entire county.

As a club, we are still laying the foundations. That means creating the right standards and culture whilst making decisions that support what we want to be now, but also where we want to be in the future. Joining the Hertfordshire 1961 Sunday Football League gives us a stronger platform to develop on and off the pitch and we’re looking forward to the challenge ahead.

The work continues on on Sunday 21st June with the start of our open sessions. We encourage any players or volunteers who are interested in joining out club to come down to The Recreation Ground, Kimpton for a a 10am start. Open sessions will continue into July on Tuesdays (7pm start) and Sunday (10am start).
