Kimpton Rovers Launch New Brand Ahead of 2025/26 Season
From next season, Rovers 49 FC will officially adopt a new name, crest, and colours. These changes mark an important step forward in aligning the club with our long-term vision and celebrating the club’s roots in the village of Kimpton.
The club will be known as Kimpton Rovers Community Football Club, a name that reflects both the heritage of football in the village and the values we aim to carry forward. The new crest and colours have been carefully designed to honour local history while providing a strong, consistent identity for the future.
OUTER SHIELD & QUARTERS
The top edge of our crest is styled to mimic the outline of the village’s Jubilee sign; a subtle but meaningful reference. The outside shield is divided into argent and sable quarters, reflecting the historic heraldry of the Hoo family, once prominent landowners in the area. In heraldic terms, "sable" represents black and "argent" is symbolised by white.
CROSSED KEYS, SWORD & BALL
At the heart of our crest lies the crossed keys and sword of St Peter and St Paul. This references the village’s historic church, dedicated to the same saints, which has been the cornerstone of Kimpton’s identity and existence for centuries. Sitting on top of the keys and sword is a classic ball shape, bearing the letters "CFC" which stand for “Community Football Club” which echoes the tradition of early 1900’s team photos where club names were written on the match ball.
INNER SHIELD & FONT
The inner shield follows the shape of the outer shield to create a cohesive and layered design. Framed within this is a custom font created specifically for the club, rooted in the village’s history. The font draws on design details from the former Lion Brewery, once a key part of Kimpton’s local industry, blended into this are references taken from Lord Dacre’s handwritten note from the 1855, which granted the parish permission to establish Kimpton Primary School.
The new identity will make its on pitch debut in the 25/26 preseason in August.
